Caldine was the place were more people had gathered for the arrival of train. They had also a personalized poster.

I think more than 800 people, net result was that i had to leave the car quite away and did not got a good place to get pictures .

But the best was the atmosphere. I have here bot a audio-video Movie(2.7 MB) and audio only(0.8 MB).


People going around and watching expecially the two locomotives.

But also an occasion to check the locomotives. Expecially the 740 at every stop was carefully watched and tuned by its staff.

Again I show in this pictues the uniforms for conductor of 1930 and today.

At Caldine was opened a small exibition with pictures of the building of the line in the XIX century.
And while public gave a look at the exibition, firemen keep shoveling ... . Net effect was that expecially the 625 was blowing a lot ...

Soon after the station the train pass over the Mugnone and begin to climb toward Mimmole.
I went away to get pictures on the pass of the train over Basciano viaduct, and this was the result.

After the viaduct two brief tunnels and after another 180° curve train arrive at Montorsoli.

The station of Montorsoli (as you can see if you go on its page) is just outside a tunnel so the steam effect ...

Even here a lot of crowd, and a spectacular start ...
